Evolving Marriages Profile & Assessment

Welcome to the Evolving Marriages Profile & Assessment™ (EMPA) which is a key component of the Evolving Marriages™ program.

The "profile" part identifies some common, important attributes and actions that form the basis for most loving and happy marriages that last. The EMPA isn't designed to cover every possible need or expectation in every marriage. Instead, it is a starting point for those who want to improve their marriage—no matter its current state—and evolve into their full potential.

The "assessment" part helps to pinpoint "gaps" or potential trouble spots you may need to work on. It also helps provides a baseline of how well you are doing now in these areas and can help monitor your progress.

Read each item and answer it with:

A = Usually (True about 85-90% or more of the time)

B = Often (True about 70% of the time)

C = Sometimes (True about 50% of the time)

D = Occasionally (True about 30% of the time)

E = Never (Never true)

Be honest in your answers. Fudging the truth won't help improve your marriage.

Answer the items based on your relationship with your spouse over the last four weeks. Note that your answers should reflect your behavior, not your spouse's.

If you feel an item doesn't apply to you, choose A—Usually.
